Hi everyone,
Was curious if anyone has performed in front of an audience and has gotten the audience really "in to" a song. If so, How do you do it? We're doing a bunch of old crappy music for aa rock band concert next week, and I want to make it fun even though we have to play crappy music. it's a school run deal, so we don't really get to choose what you want to play unfortunately. Thanks,
Chris
Being a singer, you first have to be into it. If you show lack of interest, the crowd will. I hate singing certain songs, but if someone asks me to sing something, it is my job to make them happy and wanting more. Get into the music, get the crowd to clap, dance whatever and most of all, thank them! just go and kick ass!!
I totally agree! I just kick ass on the song, tell them to clap their hands, etc.

what songs are you performing? maybe if they are well known, listen to the original band doing the songs live. also, get to know the song really well so you know it like an old nersery rhyme. then you won't have to worry about forgetting the lyrics. most of all, enjoy what you do. I didn't much like singing some of the songs I did when I was in a band, but you learn how the singer sung the song, and some of the background to the song, and it goes fairy well after that.
